What is NewsSerif?

NewsSerif is an AI-assisted editorial platform for solo editors and specialist content entrepreneurs. It takes care of the sourcing, research, annotation, translation, and publishing, all within an editorial brief that you create, while you focus on what matters: judgment and voice.

How NewsSerif works

Discovery

Autonomous agents scan RSS feeds, news APIs, social media, and company filings and court records 24/7. Third-party integrations mean you and your team can drop leads directly into any messaging app, while on the go.

Extraction

Raw data becomes annotated articles, with companies, people, geographies, industries, financials, and sentiment extracted automatically.

Analysis

Every article is autonomously researched before it reaches you: historical context, related coverage, secondary sources, and events all pulled in automatically.

Translation

Reach a global audience by instantly publishing to 20+ languages.

Editorial review

Get notified when an article is fully researched, tagged, entities extracted, and publication-ready. From there, our editorial CMS lets you refine content, add media, adjust metadata, and schedule publication.

Publication and analytics

As articles are published, the data starts working. NewsSerif tracks what your audience reads and where, fine-tuning the agents to source more of what performs and maintain a balanced content mix, while maximising engagement.

Back story

A decade building editorial infrastructure at scale showed us where the friction is, and its impact on quality and the bottom line. I built NewsSerif to eliminate it.

At Mergermarket (rebranded Acuris, acquired by ION Group for $1.35 billion), I was hired to build the first version of their M&A intelligence platform. I was later promoted to Head of Engineering/Chief Software Architect for the Group’s product portfolio that took Mergermarket’s specialist intelligence business to $100M+ in revenues.

The core insight then and now: deeply researched, structured information for specialist professionals creates actionable intelligence, but friction within the editorial pipeline degrades its value.

What took hundreds of people at Mergermarket, a single editor can now do on NewsSerif. The editorial integrity doesn’t change. The economics do: concept to launch in a couple of days, the content lifecycle from lead to live in minutes, instant global reach, OpEx and CapEx down by an order of magnitude. Solo editors can now validate niche content ideas, find their audience, and pitch sponsors, all inside a week.
